Scotland, particularly Aberdeen, has a special place in my heart and story that began unexpectedly. When my husband and I first arrived in Aberdeen from Milan, it was meant to be a temporary stay while he studied. Little did we know that it would become our long-term home and that our two daughters would be born here.
It took us a while to realise that we fell in love with the city, Aberdeen became our home and the natural location for our company, CP Concept Store & Design Studio.
Aberdeen, the “silver city,” truly lives up to its name. The granite buildings add a touch of magic, especially on sunny days when the city sparkles with an ethereal glow. The city is also experiencing an exciting transformation, positioning itself as an innovation hub within Scotland. The energy and enthusiasm surrounding the upcoming projects and developments are tangible. Being a part of this dynamic environment, with new ideas and initiatives is incredibly exciting.
Over the last 10 years, I have witnessed Aberdeen’s evolution first-hand, and it’s truly remarkable. The city is embracing innovation, fostering creativity, and attracting individuals and businesses eager to be a part of its growth. As a result, there are endless opportunities for collaboration in the field of interior design.
Besides inspiring me with its architectural beauty, the city also provides the perfect ground for innovation and creativity. I’m excited to contribute to the thriving design community in Aberdeen and play a part in shaping the future of this remarkable city.
In essence, Aberdeen chose me, and I am grateful for the unexpected journey that led me here. I am thrilled to be a part of Aberdeen’s story and eager to see what the future holds for our business in this remarkable city.
There is incredible potential for Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) to revolutionize how we experience spaces and home products. As an interior designer, I understand that textures and feelings play a vital role; however, the industry has been slightly behind in adopting AR and VR compared to other creative sectors, which presents an exciting opportunity for growth and innovation.
While beautiful, rendered images and photographs can showcase a design, they often fall short in conveying the true look and feel of a product or space. That’s where AR and immersive environments come in. They provide a more accurate representation, allowing clients to experience the design at full scale and get a real sense of the space’s impact. Instead of simply looking at a flat drawing or image, our clients can immerse themselves in the finished design and truly feel its essence.
At CP, we are embracing this opportunity by accelerating the transfer of skills from the digital media, entertainment, and gaming sectors. By doing so, we aim to create an even better and more immersive experience for our clients. Our goal is to make buying home products or renovating spaces not only easy but also enjoyable and fun.
We believe that by empowering individuals to take control of their environment and how they feel about it, we can have a positive impact on their physical health, emotional well-being, and overall productivity. AR and VR have the potential to transform the interior design process, enabling us to provide our clients with a deeper level of engagement and a more personalized experience.
I’m excited about the role we can play in pushing the boundaries of interior design, using AR and VR to create transformative and immersive spaces that truly resonate with our clients’ needs and desires. The future holds endless possibilities, and we are eager to be at the forefront of this exciting evolution.
